Tuckahoe Little League is implementing a new process for placing players in the Majors and Minors divisions.
-
All league age 10, 11, and 12 year-old players will participate in at least one enhanced skills assessment at Tuckahoe
Sports, Inc. (TSI) on the following dates:
Saturday, February 12 from 9am-12:00 pm
Thursday, February 17 from 6-8:00 pm
-
A league age 10 year-old player must attend at least one skills assessment to be eligible for Majors softball.
-
Majors managers will draft their teams following the skills assessment. Majors rosters will be final at the conclusion
of the draft
-
Any league age 10 year old player not drafted on to a Majors team will be drafted directly to a Minors team.
All players, including league age 10 year olds who intend to play Minors softball, are strongly encouraged to attend
the skills assessment. The skills assessment is necessary for the Majors draft AND the Minors draft.
Players must wear tennis shoes (no cleats) and bring a glove to the skills assessment.
Key Changes
- No cuts. All players remain on the Majors or Minors team that drafts them.
- League age 10 year-old players must attend at least one skills assessment to be eligible for Majors. If there are
