Tuckahoe Little League
Post Season
Terms of Participation
Tuckahoe Little League (TLL) fields several Post Season
Teams each year. The D-5 Teams are the officially sanctioned All Star Teams
that compete with all of the other Little Leagues in the World to try and make
it to the Age Group specific World Series. TLL also
fields a number of Invitational teams that compete with other Teams in our
area. By reading and signing this form, each family is notifying TLL that they
would like for their child to be considered for participation on any of these
teams.
All Star Participation Rules for Managers, Coaches, and
Parents are outlined below:
• I understand that players are
expected to participate in every scheduled event (practice and games).
Exceptions are possible but must be approved by the TLL Executive All Star Committee
depending on the situation. **In the
event of an absence/potential absence, Parents will notify the Team Manager who
will in turn notify the President and VP Baseball/Softball.
• I understand that the D-5 All
Star Season begins around June 1st
and could potentially run to the end of
August depending on the League. Invitational Teams generally start later in
the summer – check website for timeframes of each age group.
• I understand that practices
must only be held on League approved sites – if there is any question, the
Manager will consult the President and VP Baseball/Softball prior to holding a
practice. Little League insurance does not cover teams practicing on
non-approved sites so this is very important.
• I understand that teams are
not allowed to Fund Raise without the permission of the TLL Board.
• I understand that appropriate
behavior is expected at all events. Any Manager, Coach, Player, or Parent
ejected from a game will be required to meet with the TLL Executive Committee.
• In the event of a violation
of any of these rules, the Executive Committee will review the situation and
determine any potential penalties for the Manager/Coach/Player/Parent involved.
Penalties for violations could result in any penalty up to and including Dismissal
from the Team.
• **This document is not intended to be inclusive of all situations that
may arise. Situations not outlined above may also be considered violations and
may require disciplinary action.
